Please introduce yourself, and tell the readers about your beauty training experience?

I’m Hayley and I live in The Cotswolds with my husband and our 4 cats. I teach lashes for KG Professional in the Gloucestershire area. I began teaching within the beauty industry back in 2009 after completing my PTTLS qualification at a local college. When I first began teaching, it was for a private training academy in all aspects of beauty including waxing, lashes, massage, and facials, I also helped write many of the accredited manuals used in the courses.

What got you started in the beauty industry?

I started out in the beauty industry in 2004 at age 18 when I got my first salon job as a part time junior beauty therapist while I was completing my NVQ3 at Cirencester College. I then went on to work at a few other salons and spas locally while gaining invaluable experience and completing numerous other additional beauty training courses. I was managing a hair and beauty salon in Tetbury for several years before deciding that I was ready to spread my wings and start my own business.

Where are your Gloucestershire beauty courses located?

In 2016, my business began as a mobile beauty service in and around Tetbury in Gloucestershire and I have since moved into a premises in Tetbury town centre where I hold my training courses for KG Professional.

The courses I hold are different from other local training courses in the Gloucestershire area because I have such extensive knowledge and experience in my field due to being in the industry for 17 years. I have seen beauty fads come and go and I know how to spot the next big thing in the industry. Over the last 17 years, techniques in the industry have evolved and improved. I undertake hours and hours of CPD myself to ensure I can pass these updated techniques on to my students which ensures they are getting the most up to date training.

When a person books a KG Professional lash course with me in Gloucestershire, they can expect to receive primarily excellent customer service. My class sizes are small ranging from 1-1 up to a maximum of 4 students meaning each student gets maximum learning time and attention from me. The training day itself will consist of in-depth theory covering a history of the treatment, contra indications, application and plenty of inside tips and tricks I have learned throughout my career. We will then practice lash application on a dummy head before moving on to live models in the afternoon to enable the student to really hone their skills. KG Professional lash courses include a luxury kit containing everything needed to complete a set of lashes.

What can people who sign up for Russian Volume training in Gloucestershire expect from training with you?

KG Professional Russian Volume lash courses are more advanced and students would need to be qualified and confidant in classic lashes before booking. In this course we will cover multiple ways in which to create Russian volume fans of lashes rather than just one technique. The reason for this is because each student will work in a slightly different way and some may find a particular technique easier than others. Some students like to switch between different techniques so it’s useful to be able to adapt and work in different ways. We also cover lash styling and teach our students different ways to place the lashes to give different effects. These styling methods allow us to create bespoke sets of lashes for each of our clients. Similarly to our classic courses, our Russian volume courses include in-depth theory followed by practical application and assessment on live models. Each student will also receive a luxury kit.

Which of KG’s professional beauty products do you recommend and which could you not live without?

The KG Professional products I cannot work without would be the red top glue and the protein remover pads. The red top glue is our bestselling glue and for good reason! It’s a great all-round glue that works in most temperatures and humidities. I’ve been using this glue for both classic and volume lashes for the last 4 years and it never lets me down! The protein remover pads are great for prepping the lashes before full sets of lashes, lash lifts and eyelash tints. They remove any makeup residue and oils from the natural lashes ensuring your treatment gets maximum results.

Any final thoughts for people unsure about signing up for our Gloucestershire beauty courses?

If anybody is unsure about booking a course with me and KG Professional I would say to go for it! It can be tempting to opt for cheaper alternatives but trust me (I speak from experience!) you will most likely have to invest in additional training as most cheaper courses are not as comprehensive. Always research who you are training with and what the training involves.
